Speech Sound Difficulties

Articulation or pronunciation disorders refer to difficulties in pronouncing sounds correctly. These disorders can be caused by various factors, including neurological issues, language development delays, or other speech disorders.

發音困難

As children grow older, different speech sounds gradually emerge. During the process of language development, many children may make articulation errors because they have not yet reached certain developmental stages for specific sounds. However, some children experience persistent pronunciation issues that affect their communication with others. In such cases, they may need to undergo speech therapy.

Does your child have the following situation?
sand -> dand // sugar -> dugar
cat -> tat // cookie -> tootie
play -> pay // cream -> ceam
pat -> bat // pen -> ben
door -> goor // talk -> kalk

These are just some common examples. If parents notice that their child has other pronunciation errors or needs to seek related advice, they are encouraged to contact a professional speech therapist for help and guidance.
